F.A.Q
Plastic surgery involves molding and reshaping the body's structures. In plastic surgery, you can achieve your ideal appearance goals and improve your self-esteem, or you can restore normal function and appearance. Plastic surgery may be elective in some cases. Medical necessity may also apply in some cases.
During your initial consultation, the plastic surgeon will determine if your treatment needs are medically necessary or cosmetic. Our team will work closely with your insurance plan to provide medical documentation and obtain authorization for any surgical services that are deemed medically necessary; you will be responsible for any co-payments and/or deductibles required by your insurance company. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by insurance. The cost of the treatment plan will be determined during your initial consultation.
The length of surgery varies based on the type of plastic or reconstructive surgery procedure. Minor plastic surgical procedures may be completed in less than two hours; more involved procedures may require more time. When you meet with your physician, he or she will provide you with this information.
Depending on the type of plastic surgery procedure, the physician's recommendation, your overall health, and your own preference, you may receive either local or general anesthesia. The type of anesthesia will be discussed in detail with an anesthesiologist before surgery as part of the routine pre-surgical process.
There are two options:
